Must pass swimming pre-test, attend all class <br />dates, perform all rescue skills, and earn 80% on <br />written tests to earn certification. <br /> <br />Bring swim suit & towel to each class session. Call 763-576-2980 to Register. <br /> <br />Guard Start Club <br /> <br />For youth 12 -14 years old that have completed the <br />Learn to Swim levels. This club is designed to build a <br />foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future <br />lifeguards. The foundation consists of five categories: <br />_ Prevention _ Fitness _ Response _ Leadership and <br />_ Professionalism. This program will not certify <br />lifeguards. It is an effective transition from upper-level <br />Learn-to-Swim courses to lifeguard training. At least <br />one field trip will be included. <br /> <br />Fee: $ 75.00 includes text materials and field trip.* <br /> <br />'Agree to volunteer 10 hours at the Aquatic Center during open <br />swim over the course ofthe summer and receive $50.00 off the <br />Guard Start Club fee. <br />
