<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Assistant City Engineer Tim Himmer <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Associate Planner Tim Gladhill <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sean Sullivan <br />Environmental Coordinator Chris Anderson <br />Parks Supervisor Mark Riverblood <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:02 p.m. and led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY YOUTH FIRST COMMUNITY OF PROMISE <br /> <br />Heidi Geiss, Program Director of Youth First, presented an overview of the Youth First program <br />and stated the organization has a joint powers agreement with the cities of Ramsey, Andover, <br />and Anoka, along with Anoka County and Anoka Hennepin School District #11. She provided <br />information regarding some of the program activities, including team building and recreational <br />activities. She stated the School District paid for busing for the kids and they were able to take <br />them swimming, to the Science Museum, and the Wabasha Street caves.
