Absent: Commissioners Cleveland and Van Scoy. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Proposed Ordinance to Amend Definitions of Primary <br />Residential Garage and Home Occupation in Ramsey City Code 9.02 <br />(Definitions) <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:35 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearin2: <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Management Intern Haugen stated in 2008, the Home Occupation Ordinance was amended to <br />include an administrative permitting process and to relax the regulations for accessory structure <br />home occupations; the current definition of Primary Residential Garage needs clarification to <br />reflect 9.11.04 (Home Occupations). He added since June 2008, home occupations have been <br />permitted to operate in accessory structures, including attached garages, on lots of all sizes; as a <br />result, identification of attached garages as separate from principal dwellings is unnecessary. He <br />stated the proposed amendments to the definitions of Primary Residential Garage and Home <br />Occupation are meant to remove any conflict or confusion with the current home occupation <br />section (Section 9.11.04). <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Levine, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Brauer, Hunt, and <br />Rogers. Voting No: None.
