will be brought to a joint workshop of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Economic <br />Development Commission on Thursday, February 28, 1991. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Fults and seconded by Commissioner Zillinger that the Economic <br />Development Commission's Transportation Subcommittee will attend the joint workshop of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission and the Economic Development Conunission to discuss the sign <br />ordinance and address the Planning and Zoning Commission's questions on light industrial area <br />proposals on Thursday, February 28, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Fults, Gorecki, Greenberg, <br />Nelson, Vevea and Zillinger. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Muller. <br /> <br />Case #3: Applicant to the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />This case was tabled as the applicant was unable to attend the meeting for an interview. Mr. Kent <br />will be attending the March meeting of the Economic Development Commission for an interview. <br /> <br />STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Chairman Wagner inquired into the status of the McKinley Street Extension. Mr. Gromberg <br />replied that the project should begin sometime this year. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Vevea stated that he spoke with someone at Northwest Steel Fabricating regarding <br />the site plan ordinance and the criteria for expanding their facilities. They felt that it was too <br />restrictive and they were planning to move out of Ramsey in the next year or so. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults asked if we distributed a packet to site plan applicants to guide them through <br />the process. Mr. Gromberg stated that we do have a standard packet for site plan applications and <br />this is given to each person who makes a site plan application. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nelson asked if we could do anything with the Ramsey monument signs, such as <br />"Welcome to Ramsey". In the opinion of Commissioner Nelson, these signs need to be enlarged. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Fults and seconded by Commissioner Gorecki to adjourn the regular <br />meeting of the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Fults, Gorecki, Greenberg, <br />Nelson, Vevea and Zillinger. Voting No: None.
