CC # <br />CONSIDER ENDING PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br />FOR A FIRE INSPECTOR <br />Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />Background <br />On September 8, 2008, Mr. Matt Kohner, was hired as a Fire Inspector. Mr. Kohner has <br />successfully completed his six-month probationary period and the Fire Chief <br />recommends retaining Mr. Kohner as a full-time regular Fire Inspector. <br />Funding Source <br />This is an existing position which is included in the 2009 General Fund Budget. No <br />additional funding is required to remove Mr. Kohner from probation. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Based on satisfactory completion of the sixth-month probationary period, staff <br />recommends that Matt Kohner be retained as a full-time regular Fire Inspector. <br />Committee Action <br />'Make a motion recommending that the City Council adopt a resolution ending the <br />probationary period for Matt Kohner and granting him status as a full-time regular Fire <br />Inspector. <br />Reviewed by: `~ <br />_ Ci Administrator <br />t <br />PC: 03-24-09 <br />-109- <br />
