8. Short~term Disability: Reviewed in discussion following Item ~:). <br /> <br />Life Insurance: With regard to Dental, Long-term Disability, Short-term Disability and Life <br />Insurance, the City will review options over the next six months to maximize tax situations. <br />The $230.00 offered for health coverage can be used to supplement some of these other <br />insurances, but the City's maximum payment is $230.00. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Leave Provisions: The City agrees with request to incorporate all current leave provisions <br />in one re'title. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Pm'ental Leave: The City will grant "parenting leave" per Minnesota Statute 181.940. This <br />is six weeks leave and you use vacation, sick pay and the remainder without pay. Your job <br />will be secure up to six weeks. If leave is longer than six weeks, it will be reviewed. <br /> <br />1.2. Funeral Leave: Withdrawn by AFSCME. <br /> <br />13: Work Schedules: Withdrawn by AFSCME. <br /> <br />14: <br /> <br />Overtime after eight hours: The employer is meeting the requirements of the Fair Labor <br />Standards Act and also because of the cost factor, overtime will be paid only after 40 <br />hours. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />Education Reimbursement: A proposed education policy will be reviewed at Personnel <br />Committee meeting. <br /> <br />16. Duration: Agreed - one year contract. <br /> <br />Pay Plan <br /> <br />Appendix A: <br /> <br />General Increase: 4% Effective: January 1, 1991 <br /> <br />Performance Increase: <br /> <br />0% satisfactory <br />1% above satisfactory <br />2% superior <br /> <br />Effective: On anniversary of position date <br /> <br />Language on Promotions: Acknowledged that it has been reviewed by the Negotiating <br />Committee; however, they are not ready to suggest changes. <br /> <br />6~ <br /> <br />Out of Class Pay for HEO: Request for maximum denied, leave as stated at salary grade <br />midpoint. <br /> <br />All positions will be reviewed by the Personnel Coordinator and Department Heads within six <br />months of contract signing. If adjustments are identified, the financial impact and implementation <br />plan will be presented to the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Upon inquiry, Personnel Coordinator McAloney stated she could not estimate what it would take <br />to bring everyone's wage up to what they should be. She added she wasn't sure if this could all be <br />done in one year or not. She stated that the bottom 17 cities in Stanton Group Five would be used <br />to calculate salary ranges.
