Councilmember Hardin explained that the intent is to look at grade levels, compare them to the <br />group identified and see where the adjustments need to be made. Recommendations will be made <br />to change or correct. The plan is not known for sure, it will possibly be phasing something in over <br />a period of time. <br /> <br />Mr. Nelson stated he wouldn't want the plan done without negotiating. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated a letter of notification would be sent. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hardin stated that once the salary ranges are identified, the AFSCME Bargaining <br />Unit can look at it. <br /> <br />Mr. Nelson stated that any changes would be negotiated with the Union. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hat'din stated that certain items are bound by contract and they will be negotiated. <br /> <br />Ms. McAloney commented that not all changes have to be negotiated. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson commented that if the Council doesn't follow through with their <br />promises, then the trust level and good will feelings will be gone.
