Case #4 Review Northfork 5th Addition.

Dennis Peck, Director of North Fork Inc.- informed the Commission that there is a slight
problem with the development of the trail corridor in the North Fork 5th Addition. At the
present time the trail is proposed to be 70 feet wide and will go directly between the UPA
Power Station and the 9th hole tee box. Mr. Peck asked if it would be possible to change
the width of the trail from 70 feet to approximately 40 feet in that area. He stated that
North Fork Inc. would be willing to plant shrubs and small bushes along the trail to set up
a natural noise buffer.

Merland Otto reminded the Commission that this has been done previously in the Juniper
Ridge Addition and that he did not see a problem with this proposal.

Motion by Commissioner Lokker and seconded by Chairman Hetland to reduce that portion
of the trail traversing the 9th hole of the golf course into a workable solution and the
developer should coordinate this with Merland Otto.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Hetland, Commissioners Prall, Johnson, Lokker,
Rustad and Swokowski. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Roselle.

COMMISSION INPUT

Commissioner Swokowski asked to be appointed to the Adopt-A-Park Subcommittee along
with Commissioners Prall and Johnson.

Merland Otto recommended reviewing the Flintwood Hills Park at the February Park and
Recreation meeting.

Mark Boos recommended extending the mailing list to include those residents along the
adjoining trail corridor.

Mark Boos suggested reviewing the Ramsey Lions Community Park located at the Ramsey
Elementary School at the March meeting.

Consensus of the Commission was to review Flintwood Hills Park at the February meeting
and the Ramsey Lions Community Park at the March meeting.

ADJOURN

Motion by Commissioner Prall and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to adjourn the
Park and Recreation Commission meeting at 9:15 p.m.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Hetland, Commissioners Prall, Johnson, Lokker,
Rustad and Swokowski. Voting No: None.
