Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Hetland, Commissioners Swokowski, Rustad, Prall, <br />Johnson and Lokker. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Roselle. <br /> <br />Case #3 Name Park in Sorteberq's 6th Addition. <br /> <br />Mark Boos explained that the park in Sorteberg's 6th Addition also serves those residents <br />who live in Countryside Estates Addition. The park will be receiving play equipment this <br />summer along with some trees and shrubs for landscaping. Some future plans are to <br />install a ballfield. <br /> <br />Chairman Hetland asked if Countryside Estates had its own park. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos explained that the City does own outlot B, but at the present time it is being used <br />as a nursery for young trees and shrubs. He stated that the park in Sorteberg's 6th <br />Addition is being referred to as Countryside Estates Park for lack of another name and <br />suggested the Commission formally name it park Countryside Estates Park. <br /> <br />Chairman Hetland asked if there was a possibility of developing outlot B into a park in the <br />future. <br /> <br />Mark Boos stated that Outlot B could be developed, if this happens it could be named <br />Countryside Estates Park #2. The City has done this before in Whispering Pines Addition. <br /> <br />Commissioner Swokowski told the Commission that he feels this may be confusing to the <br />residents. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairman Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to name the park in <br />Sorteberg's 6th Addition Rabbit Park after the name of the road it is on. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Hetland, Commissioners Swokowski, Rustad, Prall, <br />Johnson and Lokker. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Roselle. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Mark Boos told the Commission that he was going to attend the County Tree Board meeting <br />and invited anyone who was interested to join him. <br /> <br />Commission Prall stated at if she is free that night that she would like to attend. <br />Chairman Hetland stated that he would also like to attend. <br /> <br />Commissioner Prall informed the Commission that there is a tree sale and an <br />Environmental Expo being held on April 27, 1991. The tree sale is being held at City Hall <br />and the Environmental Expo at the Ramsey Elementary School. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos explained that the Environmental Expo was to be the main site for the tree give <br />away, it will also be the site to get information regaring the KAB's adopt a park program. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos asked if anyone had a suggestion as to which park to review next month. <br />Commission Lokker suggested Titterud Park. <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION / APRIL 11, 1991 <br /> PAGE 3 OF 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
