Case #3: Acceot resienation of Cynthia Roselle. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Prall and seconded by Commissioner Rustad to accept Cynthia <br />Roselle% resignation. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chakman Hetland, Commissioners Prall, Lokker and Rustad. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Swokowski. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lokker excused himself from the meeting at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #5: Discussion reeardine the Landfill Recreation Proncrt¥ A~regm~nt <br /> <br />Mr. Boos described the Landfill Property Agreement and presented an aerial photo. He explained <br />that when the landfill ceased to operate some rough grading may be accomplished by Waste <br />Management Incorporated. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed various potential placements of athletic fields on the Waste <br />Management property. <br /> <br />The Commission proceeded to review bike and pedestrian access to the landfill site including <br />153rd and County Road #5 bike lanes. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Commission was that an emphasis might be on the 50 acre option as <br />opposed to a ski hill. <br /> <br />Case #4: Commission input/informational items. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the paxk issues pertaining to both the City of Anoka and the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos described the upcoming joint Park and Recreation Commission and Anoka County Tree <br />Board meeting. Other topics included the status of River's Bend 3rd Addition. <br /> <br />The Commission then viewed photos of Councilmember Beyers donation of trees and shrubs for <br />the Park Center at Central Park. <br /> <br />A discussion centered around the need for even more landscaping and the attractive start that <br />Councilmember Beyer made possible. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />The consensus of the Commission was to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />The regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting adjoumed at 8:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Mark Boos <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION / SEPTEMBER 12, 1991 <br /> PAGE 4 OF 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
