The consensus of the Committee was to study the maps and hold another Roads and Bridge
Committee meeting to identify the roadway to be added to the MSA road system.

Item #3: Authorization of Plans and Specifications for McKinley Street N.W.

City Engineer Jankowski explained that late last year, the City Council authorized the City to enter
into an agreement which would commit it to construct street and storm sewer along the right-of-
way of McKinley Street N.W. using Tax Increment Financing in exchange for the dedication of an
80' right-of-way for McKinley Street N.W. The City Attorney had indicated that we would
shortly be obtaining that right-of-way. Mr. Jankowski sought permission to negotiate a proposal
with Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. for providing the plans and specifications for the storm
sewer and roadway. Mr. Jankowski explained that Hakanson Anderson had already obtained
topographic information along the fight-of-way route as they were required for the installation of
the interceptor sewer, which determines the alignment of McKinley Street N.W.

The Committee was agreeable to directing the City Engineer to select a proposal.

ADJOURNMENT

The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m.

Respectfully

City Engineer

Road & Bridge Committee/February 1, 1991
