Case #6: Schedule Planning and Zoning and Economic Development <br /> Commission Workshop <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik announced it will be necessary for the Planning and Zoning Commission and the <br />Economic Development Commission to schedule another workshop session to continue working <br />on the February 28, 1991 Workshop Agenda. She asked the Commission to suggest a couple of <br />alternative dates for another workshop. The date suggested was Thursday, March 21, 1991. She <br />offered to contact the EDC to see if that date would work out. <br /> <br />Case 87: Information Items <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Letter from Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. to Mayor Gilbertson dated February 12, <br />1991. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Letter from City Engineer Jankowski to Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. dated <br />February 20, 1991. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that WMMI will need a conditional use permit for water treatment and suggested <br />to the Planning and Zoning Commission that maybe they would want to handle this at a special <br />meeting. The Commission agreed. <br /> <br />3) Letter from Land Stewardship Project dated February 14, 1991 noted. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Report from Commissioner Deemer on the Meeting of the Mississippi <br />River Bridge Committee <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated the Mississippi River Bridge Committee met and discussed the <br />preservation of the bridge corridor on the Dayton side of the River. The cities of Dayton, <br />Champlin, Maple Grove and Ramsey will be communicating regarding the issue. They also <br />discussed the safety issues of the intersection of the new 153rd Avenue N.W. with Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard N.W. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen inquired as to when this Committee decided to officially meet. He <br />added he was notified of the meeting only yesterday morning and there was no agenda. He also <br />asked if Mr. Greenberg had elected himself chairman of the Committee and added that he didn't <br />care for the way the meeting scheduling was handled. Mr. Jankowski stated that Mr. Jim <br />Gromberg, Project Manager, is the staff liaison for the Committee and he offered that Mr. <br />Gromberg would contact Mr. Greenberg regarding the correct procedure for scheduling meetings. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, Deemer, Hendriksen <br />and Thorud. Voting No: None.
