Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to recommend that <br />City Council approve vacation the north half of Outlot B in Countryside Estates Subdivision and <br />that any excess funds remaining after the vacation be put in escrow to be used by the Park and <br />Recreation Commission for development of the park in Sorteberg's 6th Addition. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden and <br />Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue and Terry. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to recommend to the <br />Park and Recreation Commission to investigate divesting Lot 9, Block 2, Windsorwood and using <br />these funds for development and purchasing equipment for the Sorteberg Park area. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden and <br />Thomd. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue and Terry. <br /> <br />Case #6: Report on Anoka's Regulations Regarding Adult Uses <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that the City of Anoka did adopt distance requirements for adult uses with respect <br />to residentially zoned property. When those distance requirements are converted onto a map, there <br />will be only a small area, approximately at the intersection of Thurston Avenue and McKinley <br />Street, that qualifies for development with adult uses. <br /> <br />No Commission action is required. <br /> <br />Case g7: Schedule Workshop to Continue Working on Proposed Sign <br /> Ordinance <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission suggested Thursday, June 13, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. to meet <br />with the Economic Development Commission to work on the sign ordinance pending approval of <br />that date by the EDC. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Bawden and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners Bawden, Thorud and <br />Deemer. Voting No: None.
