From Tim Elliott
Sent: Wednesday, April 01, 2009 9 :04 AM
To: Alfred Haugen
Subject: Proposal
AI,
- la door/ D
I am writing to you to express my concerns about the proposed Adopt a Spot on Sunwood and Junkite
I live on Junkite street and my biggest concern is the increased traffic that having this park will create on
Sunwood as well as Junkite. The traffic on these streets has increased over the last few years since they
made Sunwood accessible from County road 47 as well as access to Junkite from the new development
to the south by the water tower. A lot of people from that neighborhood use Junkite to cut over to
Sunwood instead of using Hwy 5.
Another issue will be that people visiting the park will have to park along Sunwood and Junkite streets.
This will also make the streets more dangerous because it will be harder to see the kids that are out
playing if there are cars parked in and around this park. This is also not fair to the residents on Junkite
because they will have more cars parked in front of their homes.
We still have a lot of small kids on Junklte that cross Sunwood to get to the bike trail and having this
park will make that crossing more dangerous.
Thank you for taking these items into consideration. Most of the people on Junkite like everything the
way it is and putting this park in will only make us have to worry more about our childrens safety while
they are outside playing.
Tim Elliott
11
