20
Project Proposal 2
The professional site and landscape desire wont of this project proposal is being
contracted with Ryan McAlpine of Ba hmata's Landscaping. Ryan has bachelor degrees in
Landscape Architecture and Environmental "Design from North Dakota State University, has
perviscd numerous installation crews for Bachman's and is a proven effective designer and
project manager. Proposed project specifications and landscape design services provided by
Ryan are included in these documents as Attachment B.
The proposed garden area will include newly planted landscaped garden, erhniced natural
wetland prairies, a memorial tree, boulder, paver walkways and reflection benches. Attachment
A provides specific plant and tree rccouunendation. Attachment 8 provides site design specifics
to both site locations, respectively,
;4cC
There are two proposed sites r corm:c►.euded for this project.
Site #1 located on the northwest parcel of land at Sunwood ]Drive and Jun kite Street.
Attachment A,provides a photograph oft is site. This site is the preferred site for this project for
several reasons 1) site 41 is in within direct proximity to the 7urikite neighborhood and
community individuals most strongly impacted by the tragic loss of Luke Crotteau, 2) site #1 is
big misused by neighboring properties, such as dirt bike tracldag and snoobe
jumps, and is in, a 4onst4tr4 state of untiestheticness - along the high tracked Sunwood Drive, 3)
forecasted budget dollars would allow for Few enhancements due to smaller site aixa and
Fading for ADA compliancy (appro tely 80 yards of clean 1U1, 4
site would be more easily facilitated by proje t supporters, and 3) the existing
natural wetlands in the surrounding site area would. benefit &orn the land renovations as
p roposed project plans include work to be performed by Prairie Restorations, Inc.
