-86- <br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09- 04 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION REVISING MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM DESIGNATIONS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for <br />a system of arterial and collector thoroughfare; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System <br />(MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and <br />maintenance of such an arterial and collector system; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to modify the designated <br />MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the following MSAS segments be added to the system: A nonexistent roadway <br />segment that extends from the eastern terminus of the existing 142 °a Avenue NW cul -de- <br />sac east to Traprock Street NW and then north to Riverdale Drive. This new segment <br />comprises 0.55 miles. <br />2. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified <br />copies of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and, that <br />upon approval of the revisions of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, <br />improved and maintained as a part of the MSAS of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember _ <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />RESOLUTION 09- 04 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
