04/06/09 09:12 PM HOUSE RESEARCH JT/JV H1973DE1 <br />4.1 (e) $348,000 the first year is to retest the <br />4.2 comprehensive assessment of the biological <br />4.3 conditions of the lower Minnesota River and <br />a.a its tributaries within the Lower Minnesota <br />4.s River Major Watershed, as previously <br />a.6 assessed from 1976 to 1992 under the <br />a.7 Minnesota River Assessment Project <br />a.a (MRAP). The assessment must include the <br />4.9 same fish species sampling at the same 116 <br />4.10 locations and the same macroinvertebrate <br />4.1 i sampling at the same 41 locations as the <br />4.12 MRAP assessment. The assessment must: <br />a.13 (1) include an analysis ofthe findings; and <br />a.ia (2) identify factors that limit. aquatic life in <br />4.1 s the Minnesota River. <br />4.16 (fl $2,500,000 the first year and $7,500,000 <br />4.17 the second year is for the clean water <br />4.is partnership program. Priority shall be given <br />4.19 to projects preventing impairments and <br />a.2o degradation of lakes, rivers, streams, and <br />a.21 groundwater in accordance with Minnesota <br />4.22 Statutes, section 114D.20, subdivision 2, <br />4.23 clause (4)..Any balance remaining in the first <br />4.24 year does not cancel and is available for the <br />4.2s second year. <br />4.26 (g) $1,000,000 the first year is to establish a <br />a.27 network of water monitoring sites in public <br />a.2a waters adjacent to wastewater treatment <br />4.29 facilities across the state to assess levels of <br />4.30 endocrine disrupting compounds, antibiotic <br />4.31 compounds, and pharmaceuticals asreguired <br />4.32 iri this act. <br />4.33 (h) $155,000 the first year is to provide <br />4.34 notification of the potential for coal tar <br />4.35 contamination, establish a storm water <br />4 <br />
