The project is currently being reviewed for a building permit and revised plans were recently submitted
with the storm trunk line shown. The current storm fees for Lot 1 and Lot 7 are $6,577 and
$5,631respectively.
Funding:
Potential funding sources for the proposed storm .trunk line would be private investment, stormwater
management fees, and/or the City's stormwater utility fund, depending on discussion.
Options:
1. Require the applicant to pay the entire cost of the improvement to extend a pond outlet from their
- site to the regional basin, with the pipe over-sizing to a trunk line paid through the stormwater
utility fund.
2. Allow the applicant to write down a portion of the initial installation cost of the pond outlet with
their storm development fees, and the pipe over-sizing to a trunk line paid through the
stormwater utility fund.
3. Require the applicant to construceir st rm fees fa tored intosthe discussionodate their site
approval only, with or without th
4. Require the applicant to initiate the 429 process for an assessment project.
- Recommendation:
City staff is recommending option 2 to remain consistent with the preliminary agreement that was
reached at the time the site development application was moving through the approval process.
Considerations could also be given for a potential pay back of future connections to the trunk line over
time.
Committee Action:
Based upon discussion
Attachments:
Alpaca Estates 4th Addition drainage plan
Ramsey Commons grading plan
Reviewed by:
Public Works Director/Principal Engineer
PW: 4!21/09
a
a
-136-
