The Legislative <br />formed Committee is recommending a 3 S mile an hour speed limit. <br />The point of the Legislation would address the issue that the City of Ramsey is facing. is the <br />limits that we have posted m our suburban residential districts may not be consistent with what . <br />the law says and it would rectify that. <br />Action: <br />No action necessary <br />Case.#8: MS4 Program Required Updates <br />Background: <br />.Staff explained that the MPCA has asked that the City develop a plan for volume reduction to be <br />ready by the end of May 2009. <br />The City needs to adopt several ordinances: <br />An Illicit Discharge and Detection Ordinance -this relates to finding and eliminating <br />non-stormwater flows entering the storm sewer system, wetlands, lakes and rivers. <br />A Post Construction Discharge Ordinance -the City has adopted Chapter 9.27 Storm <br />Water Pollution Control which covers most of the necessary requirements. This <br />ordinance will need to be updated with the infiltration requirements and the 75% pre- <br />developmentrate requirements. <br />Staff is requesting a review of specific infiltration practices at a future meeting. <br />Action: <br />No action necessary <br />Case #9: Consider Request for a Priority. Streetlight at the Intersection of Alpine <br />Drive and Ute Street <br />Background: <br />At the November 14th City Council meeting it was discussed that the City may not be fulfilling <br />its priority street policy on a high speed road at the intersection of Ute Street and Alpine Drive <br />which meets our current policy. Staff is asking for authorization to install a street light at the <br />corner of Ute Street and Alpine Drive. <br />Motion to .recommend to City Council to direct staff to install a street light at the corner of Ute <br />Street and Alpine Drive. <br />-102- <br />
