Action: No action necessary Case.#8: MS4 Program Required Updates Background: .Staff explained that the MPCA has asked that the City develop a plan for volume reduction to be ready by the end of May 2009. The City needs to adopt several ordinances: An Illicit Discharge and Detection Ordinance -this relates to finding and eliminating non-stormwater flows entering the storm sewer system, wetlands, lakes and rivers. A Post Construction Discharge Ordinance -the City has adopted Chapter 9.27 Storm Water Pollution Control which covers most of the necessary requirements. This ordinance will need to be updated with the infiltration requirements and the 75% pre- developmentrate requirements. Staff is requesting a review of specific infiltration practices at a future meeting. Action: No action necessary Case #9: Consider Request for a Priority. Streetlight at the Intersection of Alpine Drive and Ute Street Background: At the November 14th City Council meeting it was discussed that the City may not be fulfilling its priority street policy on a high speed road at the intersection of Ute Street and Alpine Drive which meets our current policy. Staff is asking for authorization to install a street light at the corner of Ute Street and Alpine Drive. Motion to .recommend to City Council to direct staff to install a street light at the corner of Ute Street and Alpine Drive. -102-
