<br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Improvement Project 08-33 the Bituminous Paving of Ute <br />Street North of 179h Lane <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig excused himself from the Council dais because he lives on this street and <br />didn't want there to be a perceived conflict of interest. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:24 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the public hearing to order at 7:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the staff report <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />David Elvig, 18026 Ute Street, stated that he has become the spokesman for his neighborhood. <br />He stated that the concern of the residents was the thought of broadening their 16-foot road to a <br />33-foot road freaked them out. He stated having the road stakes in place gave people a good <br />idea of where it would actually lie. He stated that the neighbors support a concrete curb and <br />gutter for this project. He noted that there is a consensus among the neighbors to support a 24- <br />foot wide roadway. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Look to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Look, Dehen, <br />McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Elvig. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig left the Council Chambers at 7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />There was no action taken. <br /> <br />City Council I April 14, 2009 <br />Page 5 of17 <br />
