<br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review of NAU Insurance Parking Lot Expansion; <br />Case of Sharp and Associates <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Ramsey, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve the <br />proposed site plan for the NAU Insurance parking lot expansion contingent upon compliance <br />with the City Staff review letter dated May 6, 2009. <br /> <br />Mr. Deal stated that he wanted to thank staff for expediting this as quickly as possible. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Jeffr~y, Dehen, Elvig, Look, <br />McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request to Amend Interim Use Permit for Freedom Christian Center <br />International for the Operation of a Church in the H-l Highway 10 Business <br />District <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen confirmed that the church could use parking stalls from other tenants in <br />the building because services are held on Sundays when the businesses are not open. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he is concerned about other businesses being notified because <br />there was discussion at the last meeting that notification was sent to the building owner, not <br />tenants. He noted his particular concern with the loading dock turning radius if there would be <br />any shipping done on Sundays from another business. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller noted that the City Engineer did look at the turning <br />radius and had no concerns. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution # <br />09-05-107 approving the issuance of an Interim Use Permit to allow for the operation of a church <br />in the H-l Highway #10 Business District based on adopted findings of fact and declaring terms <br />of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Elvig, Jeffrey, Dehen, Look, <br />McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. . <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Adoption of an Ordinance Amending City Code Section 2.03, Boards and <br />Commissions <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Kone noted that staff handed out a revised staff report just prior to <br />the meeting.
