The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on June 4, 2009 regarding this request. There <br />were no verbal or written comments submitted at the hearing. <br />Recommendation: <br />While the proposed use is not industrial in nature, it is very similar to motor vehicle implement and <br />recreation equipment sales and repair, which is a permitted use in the E -1 Employment District. There <br />is sufficient off - street parking and loading on the site, given the significant pavement on the entire site. <br />The Planning Commission and Staff recommend approving the request. <br />Funding: <br />All costs associated with processing the application are the responsibility of the applicant. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution # adopting Findings of Fact relating to the applicant's request for a <br />conditional use permit to allow for indoor retail sales of motor vehicles in the E -1 Employment <br />District; <br />-and- <br />Motion to adopt Resolution # approving the applicant's request for a conditional use permit to <br />allow for indoor retail sales of motor vehicles in the E -1 Employment District based on Findings of <br />Fact. <br />-or- <br />Motion to deny of the conditional use permit, based on the Findings of Fact. <br />Review Checklist: Copies to: <br />City Administrator: City Attorney <br />Community.Development Director <br />Associate Planner <br />Attachments <br />A.
