We recommend awarding the project to CB &I for a base bid price of $3,178,000. The City must <br />decide which of the bid line items will be awarded. CB &I's line item price of $10,400 for <br />Alternate A, to add landscaped trees and bushes to the site seems reasonable. CB &I's line item <br />price of $370,000 for Alternate B to delay the project award by up to 6 months would add over <br />10 percent to the project cost and would delay the substantial completion by 10 months.
