<br />EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1 AUTHORIZE DATE AND LOCATION OF 2009 BUSINESS <br />APPRECIATION DAY <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan presented Case # 1. <br /> <br />Business Appreciation Day is being planned. In past years this event has been held at Rum River <br />Hills and The Links of Northfork alternating each year. This event has grown over the years and <br />. Rum River Hills does not have large enough facilities to accommodate this event. Staff was <br />satisfied with the venue and food provided by Wells Catering last year. Staffis seeking <br />authorization to spend up to $4000 in EDA funds, if necessary, to supplement this event. <br /> <br />Chairperson Riley asked if there would be the same amount of participation as in previous years. <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated he did not know. Member Keifer asked if <br />the cost would be going up this year. Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated that <br />the cost from Northfork is $59.00 per player. Member LeTourneau asked if in the past EDA <br />funds had been used. Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated that last year $3000 <br />was spent by the EDA for the event. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan discussed the pricing for golfing, dinners and <br />appreciation prizes which h,:lVe included jackets, shirts and chairs in past events. Member Elvig <br />suggested that appreciation prizes are really not necessary for the event to be successful. It <br />would be a success without the give ways. <br /> <br />A motion by Member Skaff, seconded by Member Steffen, to select The Links at Northfork and <br />Well's Catering as the chosen venue and caterer for the Business Appreciation Day. This event <br />would be held August 18th, 2009 and authorize $3000 of ED A funds to be used for the Business <br />Appreciation Day. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Members Elvig, Letourneau, Look, Skaff and <br />Steffen Voting No: None Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />SUNFISH COMMONS SIGN PLAN UPDATE <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan presented case #2. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator discussed background information on the Sunfish Lake and <br />Highway 10 project.
