<br />Motion by Chairperson Riley, seconded by Member Steffen, to conclude that the project was <br />eligible under the Revolving Loan Fund guidelines and to have the Economic Development <br />Coordinator let her know that the EDA would accept her application. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Members LeTourneau, Look, Skaff, Steffen and <br />Williams. Voting No: None, Absent: Member Elvig <br /> <br />Case # 1 CONSIDER PROPOSAL TO CONTRACT SERVICES TO PURSUE FEDERAL <br />FUNDING FOR HIGHWAY TRANSIT INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator presented Case # 1 <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich explained that deadlines are approaching for the transportation <br />reauthorization bill. Congresswoman Bachmann's deadline is April 30th, 2009. . <br /> <br />Jodi Ruehle, of the Tinklenberg group gave a company background and highlighted a number of <br />projects that the Tinklenberg Group has been involved with: <br /> <br />An equal public / private partnership by key stakeholders to fund this lobbying effort would be <br />preferred by the EDA. <br /> <br />Motion made by Member Letourneau and seconded by Member Steffen, to authorize the EDA to . <br />enter into a contract with The Tinklenberg Group to lobby on the City's behalf for federal <br />funding for highway and transit infrastructure improvements outlined in the contract presented in <br />an amount not to exceed $18,000 plus expenses. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Members Letourneau, Look, Skaff, Steffen and <br />Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Member Elvig <br /> <br />Case # 3 STAFF UPDATE <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan presented the following: <br /> <br />Business Expo: The Business Expo will be held at the Pact Charter School on April2Sth, 2009. <br />43 businesses are registered. Cards have been sent out and banners and signs are in place. <br />Ramsey Business Expo will be at the Pact Charter School and Environmental Expo and Tree <br />Sale will at the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard Road Project: Signs have been erected andjostcards have been <br />sent out to the affected parties stating that the closure would be April 27 .
