Councilmember Dehen asked how much it cost the City to conduct the audit.

Finance Officer Lund stated that it is around $27,000, but noted that it is mandatory.

Councilmember McGlone asked for information on the GASB 45, which Mr. Nielson
mentioned, will be coming up in the next year.

Mr. Nielson explained the GASB 45 procedures.

Finance Officer Lund noted that the GASB 45 is for former employees who stay on the health
care plan until they are eligible for Medicare.

Councilmember Elvig stated that in looking at some of the numbers, it appears that the City is
capturing more revenue because it took the billing in-house, which he thinks is significant.

Mayor Ramsey thanked Mr. Nielson for his update and noted that he would also be giving an
update for the public at the Regular Council meeting.

City Administrator Ulrich suggested since there is time left at this meeting, the Council prioritize
some of the future Work Session topics.

Councilmember Look stated that before moving on he would like to ask how the possible
purchase of the Ramsey Town Center property will effect the General Fund position in next
year's audit.

Councilmember Wise arrived at 6:42 p.m.

Finance Officer Lund stated that this is strictly for General Fund Financial Positions and noted
that the Ramsey Town Center purchase will probably be shown in a Capital Project fund and
HRA fund.

MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT

City Administrator Ulrich noted that the Work Session on June 16 will be a Ramsey Town
Center planning session and noted that Planning Commission and others have been invited and
the plan is to break into small discussion groups. He asked if the Council wanted to hold a Work
Session meeting on June 30 or July 7.

There was a Consensus to hold a Work Session meeting on June 30.

City Administrator Ulrich reviewed future topics for discussion and asked for input from the
Council on their priority.

Councilmember Dehen stated that he would like to add a look at Administrative Ticketing to the
future topic list.

City Council Work Session / June 9, 2009
