<br />Councilmemher <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A <br />DRIVER'S LICENSE VERIFICATION POLICY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to ensure that all employees who regularly or <br />occasionally drive for city business do so safely and legally; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff is recommending adoption of a driver's license verification <br />policy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the policy entails periodic verification of a valid driver's license to <br />be performed at the time of hire and annually thereafter for all employees who drive a <br />vehicle for city business. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation <br />of the Personnel Committee to adopt a Driver's License Verification <br />Policy for inclusion in the city's Personnel Policy. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 14th day of July, 2009. <br />
