<br />RMC Landscape Maintenance <br /> <br />Expectation: Highly maintained/manicured site: <br /> <br />Public Works will provide for weekly. allocation of 8 hours of labor dedicated to weed and <br />general site maintenance in planting beds, streetscape, and overall site. <br /> <br />Public Works will provide for new or refreshed mulch every spring with high quality dark <br />landscaping mulch, thick/mounded to reduce weeds. <br /> <br />Public Works will deadhead all perennials prior to May I each year. <br /> <br />Public Works will provide for weed control in combination with irrigation system management <br />to support premium lawn, green/thick. <br /> <br />Public Works will provide for shrub pruning/tree trimming shall be conducted on an annual <br />schedule, fall and spring. <br /> <br />Building Maintenance will coordinate the of planting of annuals by the Ramsey Garden Club at <br />southern planting bed in spring prior to May 30 each year (planting to be completed no later than <br />May30). <br /> <br />Public Works will provide for the installation of winter greens in southern planting box (install to <br />completely fill planter box), with the addition of color (red dogwood), and planting urns at north <br />entrance. This is to be completed no later than the Friday prior to the week of Thanksgiving. <br /> <br />Funding Source: <br /> <br />Mowing and general clean up would be funded through the street department/park department <br />general budgets. <br /> <br />Mulch and plant material needed for the municipal center will be funded through the park <br />department. <br /> <br />Storm water improvements, if needed, would be funded through the storm water utility fund. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Develop maintenance standards for staff to implement in the RTC project.
