CONSIDER A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE VACATION <br />ACCRUAL SCHEDULE FOR DEPARTMENT HEADS <br />By: Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />Background <br />Consent 13 <br />At the June 23, 2009 City Council meeting, the Assistant City Administrator was <br />promoted to Deputy City Administrator/Director of Community Development. In lieu of <br />additional compensation, the Deputy City Administrator requested an increase to vacation <br />accruals. <br />For existing staff, the proposed amendment to the vacation schedule will result in an <br />increase of two additional days for the Deputy City Administrator and one additional day <br />for the Public Works Director. The proposed schedule will also apply to new hires. Note <br />that the change to the Public Works Director's accrual was not anticipated in previous <br />meetings but is necessary to keep the schedule consistent for all department heads with <br />similar years of service. <br />The proposed vacation accrual schedule for department heads is as follows; . <br />Funding Source <br />No additional funding is required to implement the proposed vacation schedule. <br />
