Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A POLICY REGARDING CITY COUNCIL <br />ACCESS TO PERSONNEL DATA <br />WHEREAS, the City Code grants authority to the city administrator to address all <br />personnel matters and to make recommendations to the City Council regarding hiring and <br />terminating employees; and <br />WHEREAS, at the June 23, 2009 Personnel Committee meeting, committee <br />members expressed a desire to be notified of certain sensitive personnel matters such as <br />those that might result in a suspension or arrest. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Adopts the following policy language for inclusion in the City's Administrative Policies <br />Manual: <br />Upon action by the City Administrator or his designee in regard to sensitive <br />personnel matters, such as suspensions or arrests that could have a significant <br />impact on the organization, the City Administrator will provide the full City <br />Council with a confidential written explanation of the situation and the final <br />disposition of any disciplinary action. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof. <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 28h day of July, 2009. <br />
