As a basis for discussion, the Council
started with the Highway 10 corridor. As this corridor is the gateway to our community, Council wants to
understand what the requirements may be and how we can work with the property owners and businesses along
the corridor to improve the appearance of the corridor.

Many issues were discussed, inc1udingoutside storage,non-conforming accessory buildings, paving, customer and
employee parking areas, driveways, traffic maneuvering areas, and areas used for display of items for sale or rent.
In order to obtain a better understanding of the existing conditions along the Highway 10 corridor, Council has
asked City Staff to take a photo inventory of all of the properties. The intent is to assess existing conditions before
making recommendations regarding City Code issues. To this end, you will likely see City Staff in the coming
weeks along the corridor taking pictures of properties. This is an information gathering exercise only.

Once all of the information is gathered and the Council members have had an opportunity to review it, property
owners and businesses will be sent a survey asking their opinions regarding the corridor and itsappearance. City
Council is committed to working cooperatively with business owners to address the various site issues in the
corridor.

The City looks forward to continuing to work with all property owners in the commercial and industrial districts to
improve the business environment and strengthen Ramsey's appeal as a place to live, work and shqp.
