<br />Action: <br /> <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Case #3 <br /> <br />Consider Cross Walk across Alpine Drive at Alpine Park <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff received a request from a resident in the Alpine Addition subdivision for a crosswalk at one <br />or more locations to provide safe pedestrian crossing from the subdivision to Alpine Park. He <br />has seen additional traffic, both from pedestrian and vehicles since the dog park and skate park <br />has opened. He stated that there has been parking along the S curve area because there isn't <br />parking at the skate park. <br /> <br />Motion to recommend to City Council to postpone Consideration of a Cross Walk across Alpine <br />Drive at Alpine Park, to allow time for staff to research the following: the option of a location in <br />the middle; the possibility of a sidewalk on the north side; ask for a speed study to be conducted <br />in the area; a connection between 153rd Way and 153rd Court and a trail connection between <br />these two areas and Sunfish Lake Boulevard. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Case #4 <br /> <br />Review Draft Culvert Policy <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff reviewed the draft culvert policy. <br /> <br />The Committee was not comfortable with this draft because there are places that will not need a <br />culvert. <br /> <br />Staff explained that this policy is trying to define when they are necessary and that there isn't <br />anything currently on the books that allows this. The consensus was that staff will research this <br />issue and bring it back to the next Public Works meeting for further discussion. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />No action taken. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Consider Acquisition of Lot 1, Block 1, Pineview Estates 2nd Addition <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The property owner has approached the City to discuss acquisition of Lot I, Block I Pineview <br />Estates 2nd Addition. The vacant parcel is contained within the corridor for a future north-south <br />road connecting the Town Center to Variolite Street. A couple factors to consider: <br />
