<br />c-, <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #09-08-XXX <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CHARTER COMMISSION TO CONSIDER <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE CITY CHARTER, RELATED TO THE COUNTER <br />PETITION PROCESS ON PUBLIC STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 8.4.4 of the City Charter references the process for counter-petitioning <br />public improvement projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend this section requesting a super majority on such <br />counter-petition requests related to public street improvements; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The City Council requests the Charter Commission consider an amendment to Section 8.4.4 of the <br />City Charter. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the <br />11 th day of August 2009. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #09-08-XXX <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
