He stated that Mr. Peterson
has held to the contract amount of$33,320.

Board Member aIds stated that if they started out at $35,000 and they are at 80%, they would
need to receive $43,750 to reach 100% of those numbers.

Motion carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson McDilda, Board Members Bentz, Freeburg, Hustvedt,
Max, aIds and Sibilski. Voting No: None. Absent: None

Chairperson McDilda asked Coordinator Anderson to keep EPB members notified about when
this comes to the City Council so there can be support shown by the EPB.

Coordinator Anderson asked if the EPB members wished for notification when the City Council
makes a decision on this request.

Chairperson McDilda requested notification from Staff.

Case #2:

Wetland Buffer Guidebook Discussion

Board Member Hustvedt stated he had received information from some members for the
Wetland Buffer Guidebook. He stated the Guidebook is in the process of being compiled, but he
is still waiting for input from some members of the EPB. He stated his intent is to use a similar
layout to the Tree Book with a center spread. He stated that whoever does the printing will have
to rearrange it, and a cover will have to be designed.

Chairperson McDilda asked if the wetland classification materials that were passed out at the last
meeting would require more detailed work from him. He stated it was not his intent to add
anything because he felt it was comprehensive enough.

Board Member Hustvedt stated that he would use whatever was available to him.

Board Member Bentz stated he likes the timeline format but hasn't found a resource that shows
changes in seasonal wetland life cycle to contribute to the Guidebook. He suggested adding uses
of the wetlands in a chart format that indicates uses throughout the year. He stated he will
continue to pursue wetland life cycle information.

Environmental Policy Board/August 7, 2006
Page 4 of8
