<br />City Engineer Himmer stated that he hasn't found anyone that even comes close to this <br />ordinance and states that this change would still have the City far and above what is being done <br />out there now. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Elvig, seconded by Mayor Ramsey, to recommend to the City Council <br />that the ordinance be amended to reduce the minimum organic content to 25% and the maximum <br />sand content to 30%. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Elvig, Mayor Ramsey and Councilmember McGlone. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Dehen. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Review Draft Culvert Policy <br /> <br />Assistant City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the staff report. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey stated that he isn't comfortable with this because he feels there are places that <br />will not need a culvert. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson stated that this policy is trying to define when they are necessary. <br />He stated that there isn't anything currently on the books that allows this. He stated that staff <br />will research this issue and bring it back to the next Public Warks meeting for further discussion. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Consider Parking Ramp Lighting <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson stated that this item is for informational purposes and suggested <br />that, in light of time, the Committee review this information and let them know if there are any <br />questions. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE INPUT <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson asked what the Committee would like to do for the next meeting <br />because it is scheduled the same day as the business appreciation golf tournament. He noted that <br />there are a few future cases listed on the agenda, similar to how they are listed on the Work <br />Sessions agenda, and asked that they let staff know if there is something else they would like to <br />see on the agenda. He suggested moving the next meeting to Wednesday, August 19,2009. <br /> <br />There was a Consensus to reschedule the next Public Works Committee meeting to August 19, <br />2009 at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Ramsey, seconded by Councilmember McGlone, to close the regular meeting <br />of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee / July 21, 2009 <br />Page 6 of7 <br />
