Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 909-08-xxx <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />FOR ROOF REPLACEMENT OF KIOSK/GAZEBOS AT <br />WOODLAND GREEN PARK, SOLSTICE PARK, AND ELMCREST PARK <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey experienced hail damage to several facilities and <br />vehicles on May 25, 2008 due to a severe thunderstorm; and <br />WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities has reviewed all city facilities for storm <br />damage following the May 25t` storm event; and <br />WHEREAS, the roofs on shelters at Woodland Green Park, Solstice Park, and Elmcrest <br />Park were severely damaged by hail and require replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, city staff has secured three (3) quotes for the replacement of the roofs on <br />the three shelters. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes staff to enter into a contract with <br />for the replacement of the shelter roofs at Woodland Green <br />Park, Solstice Park, and Elmcrest Facilities. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 25th day of August, 2009. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
