The following is a brief summary of actions taken in July that may be of interest <br />to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Wind Energy Conversion System Ordinance. The City Council did introduce the ordinance related to <br />Wind Energy Conversion Systems. The ordinance will. move forward for adoption at a future City <br />Council meeting. Councilmember Wise expressed some concern with the 1,000ft setback requirement. <br /> <br />Motor Vehicle Sales and Repairs in the B-2 & H-l Districts. The City Council did introduce the <br />ordinance to amend motor vehicle repair and service from a permitted use to a conditiomi.1 use. The <br />ordinance will move forward for adoption at a future City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Riverside Companies Site Plan Review. Comforts of Home has informed the City that they are no longer <br />pursuing an Senior Citizen Assisted Living Complex on the River's Bend site as originally proposed. <br />Riverside Companies would like to proceed with a Site Plan for a Senior Citizen Assisted Living <br />Complex with a different developer and requested a 60-Day extension for City Council to take formal <br />action. The City Council did approve that request. Comforts of Home is still exploring constructing their <br />Senior Assisted Living Complex on an alternate site within the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />QDP & JBT Alliance; LLe Site Plan. The City Council did approve tIle request for Site Plan Review for <br />a 20,000 square foot office/warehous~. In addition, the Applicant has requested to purchase only a <br />portion of the existing parcel, necessitating a subdivision of the property. Due to the timing of the <br />project, the Applicant has requested a procedural variance to platting requirements. The City Council did <br />approve the request for a procedural variance. The Applicant will be coming forward . with a formal <br />request to officially plat the propertY in the near future. <br /> <br />Request for a Home Occupation Permit for Motor Vehicle Repair. The City Council did approve the <br />request for a Home Occupation Permit for Anatoliy Loginov at 6830 150th Ave NW. They added the <br />additional condition of a one year limit on the home occupation to encourage the applicant to locate the <br />business in a commercial area, <br /> <br />Request for a Home Occupation Permit to Operate a Towing and Recovery Service. The City Council <br />did approve the request for a Home Occupation Permit for Scott Grams at 16450 Nowthen Blvd NW. <br /> <br />Requestfor a Home Occupation Permit to Operate a Septic and Excavation Business. The City Council <br />did approve the request for a Home Occupation Permit for Dave and Jean Hauan at 16341 Jarvis StNW. . <br /> <br />39 <br />
