Nelson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Associate Planner Timothy Gladhill <br />Planning Manager Amber Miller <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sean Sullivan <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Management Intern Jessica Hendricks <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:04 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Chamber Update by Pete Turok, Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />Pete Turok, Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce, updated the Council on the Chamber's <br />activities and discussed a program called "Grow Minnesota" that promotes business visits and <br />stated there are five visits scheduled through the end of the year. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey expressed the City Council's thanks to the Chamber for its service to Ramsey <br />and surrounding communities. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig asked if the Chamber would be interested in meeting with the Ramsey <br />Town Center steering committee. <br /> <br />City Council / August 25, 2009 <br />Page 2 of 19 <br />
