<br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated the on August 20th, The Bank of Elk River <br />located in Coborn's in Ramsey will have their Grand Opening. Ribbon Cutting and Photo at <br />10:00 AM. EDA and City Council participation in these events is strongly encouraged. <br /> <br />Business Communication Initiatives <br /> <br />Staff is busy preparing for the Business Appreciation Day event to be held on August 18th at the <br />Links at Northfork. There are 34 teams and 31 hole sponsors. Attendance for this event is down <br />a little this year. Economic Development Coordinator has contacted DEED Commissioner <br />McElroy's office, he is interested in speaking for our event. His availability for mornings are <br />tough, this event is likely to be held in October. <br /> <br />Community Revitalization Proiects: <br /> <br />5175 142nd Avenue NW: Staffis continuing to m~rket this property. <br /> <br />14050 Basalt Street: Staff is continuing to market this property. <br /> <br />6590 141 st Avenue: <br />Staff is continuing to market this property. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous <br /> <br />Town Center: City staff has been monitoring the Veteran Administration Site that will have an <br />RFP posted for a projected to be constructed in the NW Metropolitan area. <br /> <br />Ramsey Town Center Steering Committee Update: Member Williams gave an update on the <br />Steering Committee. There have been two meetings. Councilmember Jeffrey was elected <br />as the Chairperson. Dis.cussion of what Landform will be doing to help with the development <br />o( Ramsey Town Center. Discussion was that we keep our contacts alive and up to date. <br />Something like a kick off in the fall, stating that we own the land and are ready to get started. <br />Steering Committee wants to create product that the community will like for a long time. <br />Something that will be successful. <br /> <br />MEMBER INPUT <br /> <br />Town Center Park: City Administrator Kurt Ulrich gave an update on the Town Center Park. <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority/August 13,2009 <br />Page 4 of5 <br />
