The final ranking of staff s evaluation will be presented at the City Council meeting. The actual construction of the overall park plan will most likely occur in phases as development occurs and funds become available. Staff is focusing the initial phase 1 construction component to include the elements of the Met Council grant (amphitheater and pedestrian connections), and storm water management. This project is on a very aggressive schedule for phase 1 construction to ensure the grant funds previously secured by the City will not be lost. It is staff's intention to honor the work that has already gone into creating the existing concept plan, but would still like to allow for additional public and stakeholder participation in the process due to the evolving nature of the Town Center development. Funding: Financing for these consulting services are proposed to come from park payment obligations that were collected as part of the original RTC park agreement. Additional funding sources that could be utilized include park dedication and the storm water utility. Recommendation: City Staff recommends City Council authorize entering into a planning, landscaping .and engineering services contract with XXX for the development of East Meandering Commons Park, in an amount not to exceed $XXX. Council Action: Motion to approve entering into a planning, landscaping and engineering services contract with XXX for the development of East Meandering Commons Park, in an amount not to exceed $XXX.
