Any additional information you feel is pertinent to the City's decision in selecting <br />a planning consultant. <br /> <br />This is a guide to prospective Consultants, and Consultant creativity and ideas on <br />approaches for strengthening the planning process will be considered. The City expects a <br />plan tailored to meet the specific needs and unique circumstances of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />TIMING <br /> <br />1. Indicate the proposed start and finish date for this project. The City of Ramsey <br />must have phase 1 of the project; which includes an amphitheater, pedestrian <br />bridge, and associated trails and amenities constructed by June 30,2010. <br /> <br />2. Provide a detailed schedule for the project (Gantt chart). <br /> <br />The estimated project schedule is as follows: <br />Authorization of RFP preparation <br />Completion of RFP and distribution <br />Accept RFP for staff review <br />Award RFP <br />Open processes for collecting input <br />Decision on master plan and phasing <br />Preparation of construction documents <br />Authorization to bid & bidding project <br />Initiate construction <br />Phase 1 project completion <br /> <br />Aug. 11, 2009 <br />Sept. 1, 2009 <br />Sept. 15,2009 <br />Sept. 22, 2009 <br />Oct. 2009 -Nov. 2009 <br />Dec. 2009 <br />Jan. 2010 - Feb. 2010 <br />March 2010 <br />April 2010 <br />June 2010 <br /> <br />EV ALVA TION AND SELECTION PROCESS <br /> <br />City staff will evaluate proposals based upon the following criteria, which are not listed <br />in any particular ranked order: <br /> <br />1. Understanding of and agreement with the firm's approach and methodology to the <br />project, including our general feeling or confidence in the firm to perform the <br />work. (20%) <br /> <br />2. Total cost of services and fees charged. (15%) <br /> <br />3. Experience with similar projects and clients, and availability of the ftrm. (15%) <br /> <br />4. References provided by past and current clients of the firm. (5%) <br /> <br />5. Specialized experience and technical competence of the firm and project team <br />assigned, including any subcontractors and associate ftrms as they relate to the <br />specific needs of this project. Qualifications and expertise of the project team. <br />(20% ) <br /> <br />6. Resources of the firm to conduct and complete this project in a satisfactory <br />manner, including the demonstrated ability to deliver work on time and within <br />budget. (15%) <br /> <br />7. Clarity, organization and responsiveness of the proposal. (10%) <br />
