Background: <br />The Public Works Committee met on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 and discussed the following <br />four cases: <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />Randy Backus, 14148 Aragon Street NW, was present to discuss there has been a couple of <br />problems with people moving the barricades at 143 Avenue and there were misleading signs <br />directing traffic to Highway 47. <br />The consensus of the Commission was to not do anything at this time and would look at it again <br />in February. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion to approve the agenda as submitted. <br />Case #1: Consider Street Name Change for 167 Avenue NW <br />Background: <br />Due to the new alignment some residents have inquired about a potential new name for the <br />street. They are not specifically requesting a change but only want to understand if one is being <br />considered, and whether they would be affected. <br />Motion to recommend to the City Council that the street naming along the 166t / 167 Avenue <br />NW corridor remain unchanged. <br />Action: <br />Case #2 Consider Right -of -Way Plan for Variolite Street Extension into Ramsey Town <br />Center <br />Background: <br />REPORT FROM PUBLIC WORKS <br />By: Public Works Staff <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br />The Committee was provided with several alignment options developed for this potential north- <br />south roadway connection. Staff is looking for direction on the preferred alignment so the <br />necessary information can be compiled and submitted for State Aid review.. <br />Staff will bring more clarification on the Commission's questions and concerns to the next <br />meeting. <br />Action: <br />No action taken. <br />Case #3: Indemnification of Property Owner InstaIIed Septic Systems <br />CASE # <br />
