<br />Case #4: <br /> <br />STAFF UPDATE <br /> <br /> <br />JBT/QDT Alliance, LLC - Working through some details, but is confident the building will be in <br />the ground this year yet. <br /> <br />Acapulco - EDA has recommended that they proceed, the Business Subsidy hearing will be held <br />at the September 8, 2009 City Council meeting. The owners want to be in the building by the <br />2010 Cinco de/ Mayo holiday. The build-out is projected to take 3 or 4 months swith <br />construction starting in January 2010. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous <br /> <br />Town Center: Currently City Staff are monitoring the Veteran Administration waiting for them <br />to post the RFP. Staff is working with Landform to identify some raw land sites as well as <br />existing structures and to package the site submittal by September 15th. <br /> <br />Hwv 47/16ih Commercial Node: Mike Fischer ofLBH is currently working on the analysis; his <br />direction has been to not exceed $7,000.00. He has informed Economic Development <br />Coordinator Sean Sullivan that if it seems likely that he will go over the allotted monies he will <br />stop the analysis, which means the EDA will have to regroup and reanalyze how the money <br />is/has been spent. Also, the scope has been expanded to include the Rum River Hills. <br /> <br />Motion by Member LeTourneau, seconded by Member Elvig, to allow for additional flexibility in the <br />funds needed to complete the analysis up to $10,000.00 and Economic Development Coordinator Sean <br />Sullivan will have the ability to grant Mr. Fischer additional monies not to exceed the cap of$1 0,000. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Members Elvig, LeTourneau, Look, Skaff, Steffen and Williams. <br />Voting No: None Absent: Chairperson Riley <br /> <br />Holiday Station Store (6157 Hwy 10): Economic Development Director Sean Sullivan asked if the EDA <br />would like to use the same color scheme as the Community Revitalization Signs. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Elvig, seconded by Member LeTourneau to give staff the authority to decide on sign <br />looks/appearances. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Members Elvig, LeTourneau, Look, Skaff, Steffen and Williams. <br />Voting No: None Absent: Chairperson Riley <br /> <br />Steering Committee Update: Member Williams provided update to group, reminded members that <br />Steering Committee meets tomorrow September )rd and there will also be a Public Open House tonight. <br />Those expected to be at the meeting are Landform representatives and Council members.
