Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated letters were mailed to area residents inviting comment and an informal open-house was scheduled prior to this Commission meeting but no one showed for that but two residents were present to speak during the Staff/Input portion of the meeting. Delmont Fredricks, 7550 158th Avenue, wanted to address his concerns of the proposed layout of the archery range, safety issues, traffic generation and he does not want to see this project rushed through. Mr. Delmont asked the Commission for more discussion and more feedback from the area residents before making a final decision. He expressed that he and his neighbor Mr. Martin want to be active members in this planning process. Parks Supervisor Mark Riverblood stated he will work with Mr. Fredricks to arrange a neighborhood meeting to address the concerns of the proposed layout, safety issues and to connect all the dots before this is brought to City Council for approval. James Couch, 15800 Traprock Street, asked if the longevity of use, the projection of use and growth of the archery range has been considered. Commissioner Shryock responded as the City develops and the community grows it is important to have this type of activity in the community and she sees the potential of this being a long term activity and a good investment because it is lesser investment heavy. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Commissiner Backous, seconded by Commissioner Shryock to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
