<br />COUNCIL BUSINESS / PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing and Levy of Assessments for Past-Due Charges on Municipal <br />Utility Bills and Current Services Rendered <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:20 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearill!!: <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the public hearing to order at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund reviewed the staff report. She stated that the majority of the calls received <br />were in regard to residents who were unable to pay their bill. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Look, Dehen, Elvig, Jeffrey, <br />McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7 :22 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the regular City Council meeting back to order at7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Finance Director Lund advised that payments could be paid by November 6,2009, to avoid the <br />amount being added to a resident's property tax. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey stated that he spoke with a resident who would like to ensure that his water meter <br />was running correctly. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated that he had received a number of calls in regard to streetlight and <br />run-off fees and wanted to clarify that the funds were not specific to areas with City water and <br />streetlights, but for overall maintenance of the storm water maintenance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen questioned a specific property and the charges of that property. <br /> <br />City Council / September 22, 2009 <br />Page 5 of 15 <br />
