<br />Finance Director Lund advised that although this is a City owned property there is still a <br />delinquent amount from the previous owner. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig questioned how the City is allowing residents to accrue $1,700 in fees for <br />a home. <br /> <br />Finance Director Lund advised that some of these accounts include irrigation. The fees have <br />accrued since the last certification and are for one year of service. She stated that staff could <br />review the option to certify the bills at a certain dollar amount or a different amount of time. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that option could be reviewed but believed that the certification <br />could only occur one time per year at a certain time. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich advised that staff could possibly send out notification earlier. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look questioned if the fees for the school district had been addressed and/or <br />resolved. <br /> <br />Finance Director Lund advised that the school district had indicated it would send payment but <br />payment had not yet been received. <br /> <br />Attached to this set of minutes are the following: <br />1) Notice of appeal/written object to assessment from Trent Morrison, 17601 Iguana Street <br />NW, received 9/15/2009 <br />2) Letter of objection to assessment from Brian Brockamp, 5821 - 160th Lane NW, received <br />9/7/2009 <br />3) Formal objection to assessment from Brian Brockamp, 5821 - 160th Lane NW, received <br />9/24/2009 <br />4) Letter of objection to assessment from Gail Hagen, 14110 Fluorine Street NW, received <br />9/04/2009 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Look, to adopt Resolution #09- <br />09-221 Adopting Assessments for Past Due Charges on Municipal Utility Bills [Which May <br />Include Water, Sewer, Street Lighting, Recycling, Storm Water Charges, and Penalties Incurred] <br />and Current Services Rendered. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Elvig, Look, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />McGlone, and Wise.
