<br />CASE # ~ <br /> <br />CONSIDER NO PARKING ZONES FOR ALPINE DRIVE <br />AT SKATE PARK ENTRANCE <br />By: Steven Jankowski, Assistant City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the August 2009 Public Works Committee meeting, discussion of a pedestrian crossing across <br />Alpine Drive at 153rd Court led to a recommendation to propose a "No Parking" zone near the <br />entrance to the new skate park parking lot for the purpose of enhancing safety by improving the <br />sight lines between pedestrians and east bound traffic. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff has reviewed the sight lines in the field and recommends that the attached 275 foot <br />restricted parking zone attached to this case be considered as a" No Parking" zone for this <br />purpose. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend to City Council that the attached 275 foot restricted parking zone to this <br />case be designated as a" No Parking" zone for the purpose of enhancing pedestrian safety at this <br />location. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br />Director of Public W orks/Principal City Engineer <br />City Engineer <br />Public Works Street Supervisor <br />Chief of Police <br /> <br />PW: 10/20/09 <br />
