<br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The proposed accessory building will be utilized for storage of personal equipment and vehicles. <br />Additionally, the comlJined square footage is well below the allotted amount for the property. Due to the <br />setback requirement of the river and the location of the 181'8, the proposed location of the structure <br />seems very reasonable and would still comply with the other standard setbacks. Staff is recommending <br />that the variance be approved. <br /> <br />Were it not for the required setback of the river, the building could be constructed in the rear of the <br />property and the exterior finish could consist of the same general materials and design of the home rather <br />than having to match them exactly. Furthermore, the position of the proposed building will face east <br />(toward the far side property line) rather than the front property line. Thus, as a stipulation of the <br />variance, the Board may wish to consider whether the exterior [misn must include the brick face on the <br />front to match the home or if it is reasonable to [mish the building with just the hardboard lap siding.
