Discussion ensued relating to confidentiality and .the importance to maintain. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Kural~ to recommend that <br />the City Council conduct the introduction and first reading of' an ordinance to amend Chapter <br />3.20 of' the City Code, titled "Personnel Policy" by the addition of a section titled "Criminal <br />History Back~ound Investigations," <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Cook, Councilmembers Pearson and Kurak. Voting <br />No:' None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Consider Authorization to ReOpen Recruitment Process for a Civil Engineer <br />II <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Reed presented a case regarding reopening the recruitment process <br />for a Civil En~neer II position and explained why candidates turned the position down. The <br />salary was a little low and she recommended increasing the maximum salary to $51,500. She <br />explained how that salary range was determined. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Cook and seconded by Councilmember Kurak to recommend that <br />Council authorize staff to reopen the recruitment process for a Civil Engineer II position. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Cook, Councilmembers Kurak and Pearson.
