Absent: Commissioner Van Scoy. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />The following Council minutes were noted: <br /> <br />1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated July 28, 2009 <br />2) City Council regular meeting minutes dated August 11, 2009 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed the Total <br />Amount of Accessory Structure Square Footage 7833 159th Lane NW; Case <br />of Robert Teigen <br /> <br />This application has been withdrawn by the applicant. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Private Dog <br />Kennel to Maintain Four or More Dogs at 6738 153rd Lane NW; Case of Eric <br />and Jamie Topero <br /> <br />Chairperson Levine closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7: 17 p.m. <br />in order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Levine called the public hearing to order at 7: 17 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill stated that on August 11, 2009 the City received an application from <br />Eric and Jamie Topero requesting a private kennel Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to maintain a <br />maximum of four dogs on the property at 6738 153rd Lane NW. He explained that the City code <br />allows for a maximum of three dogs per parcel; and that four or more dogs would require a CUP. <br />He advised that staff recommends the Commission allow for a limit of five dogs on the property, <br />as Mrs. Topero works at a veterinary clinic and occasionally brings home dogs for that reason. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Planning Commission / September 3, 2009 <br />Page 2 of 10 <br />
